Before you pitch
A few things to know
Do I need writing experience?
No. First-time writers and community members are welcome, alongside experienced external contributors. Tell us what you know about Riftbound and the idea you would like to explore. A published portfolio is optional.
What should I send?
Send a short introduction, your topic, the angle you want to take, and who the piece would help. You can include an existing writing sample and your availability. Start with a pitch; you do not need to write a completed test article.
How are articles reviewed and credited?
We review pitches before agreeing on an assignment. If we move forward, we work with you on the draft, sources, and edits. Published contributions carry an agreed named byline and credit.
How are assignments and compensation agreed?
Scope, deadlines, credit and any compensation will be agreed before you begin an assignment.
