Tier S: Format defining

5 legends ranked

Mandatory gauntlet slots. If your deck has no plan into these, it is not tournament ready.

Tier A: Premium contenders

9 legends ranked

Repeated deep finishes or current trophy signals make these first-shelf tournament tests.

Tier B: Live contenders

8 legends ranked

Real decks with real results that punish unprepared lists, below the premium slots.

Tier C: Specialist picks

7 legends ranked

Niche shells that win through surprise and pilot reps more than raw power.

Tier D: Fringe threats

15 legends ranked

Playable locally, but current results do not justify dedicated gauntlet prep.

Vendetta watchlist

New, legal, and intentionally unranked

Vendetta entered the legal Standard set list on July 24, but Pre-Rift results are Sealed and cannot tell us how these Legends compare in 1v1. They will enter S–D only after Constructed events produce evidence.

Methodology

How this tier list is built

Tiers are editorial threat-priority calls for 1v1 Standard gauntlet prep — a ranking of how much testing time each Legend card deserves, not a stats dump. This audit weighs Hartford, Dallas, Pittsburgh, the 2,048-player Beijing National Open, Łódź, and the fourth CCS qualifier, with repeat deep finishes valued above isolated placements.

The July 24 construction rules, ten-card sideboards, and Standard bans are in force. Wuju Bladesman remains legal on this 1v1 board; its separate ban applies only to Constructed 2v2. This is still a final-Unleashed evidence baseline, so Vendetta's nine new Legends stay separate until Constructed results can move them onto the board.

Per Riot's Riftbound data policy, fan sites do not publish win rates, play rates, or matchup percentages. What you get instead is the checkable signal: who won, who keeps making deep runs, and which threats demand a dedicated plan.

Tier list FAQ

How are the Riftbound tiers decided?

They are editorial 1v1 Standard calls made from event wins, finals, repeated deep finishes, and the amount of dedicated preparation each deck demands. The current audit uses Hartford, Dallas, Pittsburgh, Beijing, Łódź, and the fourth CCS qualifier as its latest evidence window.

How often does this tier list update?

After every regional or major qualifier weekend. This board was audited on July 27, 2026 and now includes the first Vendetta-format watch signal.

Why are most Vendetta Legends not ranked yet?

Vendetta Pre-Rift events are Limited, not 1v1 Standard Constructed evidence. Kennen has an early watch entry because it reached a Vendetta-format Top 8, while Akali, Renekton, Zed, Nasus, Shen, Jayce, Mel, and Ambessa remain provisional until more Constructed results provide a defensible comparison.

Why are there no win rates or meta-share numbers?

Riot's Riftbound developer policy prohibits fan sites from publishing win rates, play rates, or matchup win percentages. This list is intentionally percentage-free: tiers communicate threat priority, and every chip links to a concrete counter plan instead of a stat line.
